Of the 3 applications that have been release there are almost a quarter of a million copies in use between them.
|
|
Even more impressive is the fact that between them they received a total of 19 unique bug reports (none of them system level or application fatal).

CollegeLink was an example of our ability to deliver extremely high quality compnents very quickly. They had no room in their release cycle for a slip, and an environment where every bug encountered
typically resulted in a lost customer.

Creative Solutions That Really Work
Here are some examples of applications that showcase Wolf Rock’s creative approach to solving difficult problems. We’ve chosen five projects that
demonstrate different facets of the type of technology we have created, or are currently developing.
The first is a distributed educational application that involved a number of large and small creative solutions. CollegeLink was also our first application experience with RealBasic (and a
very positive one). Some of the most interesting aspects of this project were in the Human Factors engineering, but there is a little bit of everything involved, including our second Product of the Year Award.
The second project is an effort currently underway that involves a problem that a number of groups have tried to solve. While its not possible to disclose
many of the details of the solution, the problem itself is by itself interesting. The solution, which we are in the process of submitting 4 patent applications for, is quite elegant. Our wireless solution for competitive Olympic Fencing (is there an Aggie joke in here?) is showing a great deal of potential. In fact, we expect it to have a dramatic effect on all aspects of the sport.
Our third Solution is also an on-going effort. It focus is on tools and systems that allow Biologists to collaborate on the development, enhancment and
sharing of Taxonomic Information. uBio started off as a rather interesting research effort and has taken off to become part of a number of major international efforts
focused on Taxonomic research. This is the first application where we have integrated our development tools and generation technology with RealBasic.
The fourth project, CollegeWhere, was a shrink wrapped retail consumer product. While it has gotten on in age, we have
recently resurrected the project for use by some of our own college bound kids, and their friends and classmates. The response
we received has us considering enhancing some of the predictive modes and making it available again. It was originally a Family PC Product of the Year, consistently earned 5-star reviews, and never lost (or even tied) a competive review. The database and
compression technology was years ahead of its time, but the expert system and predictive componets are still in a class by themselves.
The last solution we are showcasing was part of a multi-million dollar effort for the EPA. WaveSaver, has saved companies like
Sheraton millions of dollars. It involves simulation technology, some extremely important Human Factors Engineering, an Expert System and a dynamic computational model that makes it all possible.
